TOM & AMY UPDATE
Hello again and Happy Easter! We have been up to some great things in March and I am going to do my best to give you a quick run down of what’s been going on. First, I would like to welcome our new partners that have hooked up in the last two months. Amy and I feel so blessed to have you as part of our team! Let’s believe God together to reach young people for Christ this fall in public schools.
F2FMI hosted its first Fundraising Dinner a couple weeks ago. We had 75 people turn out and
raised nearly $2k in one time gifts and monthly commitments. A very special blessing was our
dinner coordinator, Sandy Griggs, who made sure everything was perfect! The Childrens Minister
at Calvary Chapel, Coleen DeVega was also a huge blessing in making sure the evening went off
without a hitch. Amy and I barely had to lift a finger thanks to their hard work!I have been having breakfasts, lunches and dinners across the state with church leaders in eastern Connecticut and building key relationships with them in hopes that we will be able to link arms and reach teens for Christ. We are hosting another vision casting session on April 21st in Bolton, CT. If you live close by, please come and learn more about our game plan for reaching students. Here’s some prayer points for this month: 1. We have found several areas of concern in Amy’s brain. Please pray for ongoing tests that are being performed. 2. Finances… we have a long way to go! We need to raise another $2k monthly going into the summer. 3. We are beginning plans on doing a schools week in southeastern Connecticut this November. Please pray for God to bring our team together as we endeavor to reach thousands of kids in public schools. Thanks for all your support. We love you and appreciate your gifts and prayers! So, it was very quiet in the office all by my lonesome self... too quiet. I thought outloud,
"It is not good for Bomb to be alone, therefore I shall find a suitable helper... a companion...
a producer, if you will, to make my radio programming better." Then I lifted mine eyes and I
beheld Nathanael "the Bassman" Bass...Nathanael is a senior at Eastern Connecticut State University and actually has been working with me (Tom) for the last year. However, this season of our radio show, we decided to step it up in faith. I contracted Nathanael to work part time for Faith 2 Faith and he has been an amazing help to me. He is a graphic design major so not only do we get a guy who improves the quality of the program, but he is helpful with the graphic design of the ministry. Look for him on the show and take notice to the artwork that he will be doing for our ministry. Welcome Nathanael!
THE GIRLS ON THE FIELD
Lucy of TBC: "We have now had a number of gigs in local churches and schools. Our first one was
to a youth club of about 50 people, as well as a few other people from the church and from
Innervation. Zarc Porter and Mark Pennells, our directors, wanted to give us a few mini local
gigs before we did any bigger ones in order to get us experienced and more comfortable. It
really helped a lot actually! It went really well, and the kids seemed to love it! They were
all dancing along and joining in with us. It was such a great feeling seeing all of them so
excited, and enjoying it! We had another at the Salvation Army the next day and that went really
well also.We also did a school assembly on the Friday morning to about 150 kids and teachers. It was so great to see all of them so excited. The kids were really getting into it. It was amazing because the teachers weren’t Christians, and seemed quite skeptical and unsure about the whole thing. But then afterwards, they kept coming up to us saying how good it was, and thought it was great that we were getting our message across in that way. They even invited us back to do more assemblies and even wanted us to judge their school talent show! We were so encouraged by this. We have had lots of other positive feedback from the other gigs which so fantastic. I feel so blessed to be able to do what I love for God and to show others His love."
Kylie of thebandwithnoname: Kylie has just returned to Manchester and has been settling into her
new life. So far, she has been working in the office and serving Innervation while
thebandwithnoname gigs at Spring Harvest Festival. Kylie's first gig is on the 28th of this
month, so she will be rehearsing between now and then. She said that she is really excited for
things to kick off and start gigging with the band.Supporting Lucy and Kylie has never been easier! Click here to find out how you can partner with them!
