Affinity Dinner a Great Success!

Monday night, the Affinity Dinner at ECSU, named by students as, “Friendship Banquet,” had a great turnout. There were 45 students there and considering that we planned our dinner so close to finals, this was a great achievement. Although there were no first time decisions for Christ made during the evening, we had two recommitments to Christ and several new student contacts were made. We also solidified our relationship with the Navigators and St. Paul’s Collegiate Church through our partnership with them for this event.
Internally, we achieved two major goals. First, Anthony shared the gospel for the first time. He was nervous, but he successfully communitcated the four points with students. Second, our intern, Steve Timmons learned how to direct a mission. He was in charge of the student committee that organized the event, he managed the budget and he mobilized teams, catering, and hired the band for the event. There were no major screw ups, so we count it as a great success. View our Flickr photo album here.
