Nov 7, 2009 – f2fmi’s 2nd Annual Benefit Dinner saw 165 come and hear about their vision to reach teenagers in Southeastern Connecticut for Christ. Over $7,000 was raised to advance the cause and the team celebrated the community’s efforts to aid them by awarding four impact awards to volunteers who have made a difference.

The four awards presented were: The Transformational Giving Award, The Servants Heart, The Emerging Evangelist Microphone and the Medal of Boldness. The Transformational Giving Award was given to Tiffany Lively. Since the team first met Tiffany at last year’s banquet, she has been a vital link to the ministry. Using her talents as a professional photographer, Tiffany covered f2fmi events, taking action shots as well as portraits for the team. Tiffany’s volunteerism would have cost thousands of dollars in services.

The Servants Heart was awarded to Stan Grab Jr. Stan and Barbara have shared everything from their personal resources to their home with f2fmi. Stan serves behind the scenes managing the books, receipting donors and providing necessary financial reports to f2fmi’s board of directors. While Stan has never asked for recognition for his efforts, the team felt that his contribution should be celebrated.

The Emerging Evangelist Microphone was awarded to Justin Kendrick of Holyfire Ministries. Tom extended his hand to Justin by inviting him in to Luis Palau’s Next Generation Alliance this past year. In addition, Justin and his band, Out of Hiding have partnered with f2fmi by playing at Overtime for the last two years. Justin has become a leader in New England and has been featured in some of its biggest events including SoulFest and Rock the Sound. This award was sponsored by NGA.

Finally, the Medal of Boldness was presented to Brianna Mathiowetz. Brianna goes to Calvary Chapel and had the greatest impact on her friends after taking the 5 Friend Challenge. Her efforts resulted in 3 of them attending Overtime this fall. Her medal was sponsored by Holyfire Ministries.

f2fmi would like to thank all event sponsors, hosts, coordinators and program participants for making the evening a success.
