Tom Miyashiro, Executive Director of f2fmi has been asked to take the lead role in an exciting public schools work organization. As the new Schools Work Coordinator, Tom’s commitment to the young people of Southeastern Connecticut can be fulfilled in a practical way. With this new role, Tom is not bound by the limitations that his faith-based ministry to teens restricts. With LifeFAQs, Tom will be able to coach, role-model and mentor teens at the schools without violating boundaries with his important work with the faith community. A clear line in the sand will be drawn between his work with f2fmi and the services he pledges to provide to New London High School.
“I am excited about the possibilities that LifeFAQs brings,” Miyashiro said. “The opportunity to get in to the school and motivate and inspire young people to go for it and make good choices is a dream role for someone like me.”
Miyashiro says that the new Lifefaqs will make a difference in the lives of teens by providing scholarships, mentoring in after-school clubs, and character education classes and assemblies during school.
