I’ve written many devotionals for f2fmi. Doing so is almost always joyous and easy, because God is constantly showing me something neat and new, as I continue in my walk with Him. This week, for example, I could write about what He has spoken through His Word in the book of James (where I have recently spent much of my devotional time) or what He revealed to us this morning in church or what He’s done in the students at my school. There are a thousand different things I could say to build you up in your devotion to the Worthy One.
But I’m not going down the usual road this week. The song I sing is always the same. There are some variations, but each week, I seek to declare to you the gloriousness and value and eternal worth of our King and Rescuer, Jesus the Messiah. He is good! He is holy! He is worth worshipping!
So, in the two minutes or so that you would have spent reading the rest of this little devo, join the song. Add your voice to the chorus of praise being sung to the Most High God. That is, use your own mind to reflect on how God has shown himself to be good, holy, and worthy. Write your own devotional. Seriously! Take a minute and do it. Remind yourself and declare to God how great He is.
God bless you, friend.
Grace and peace,
Dave White

God is good because His word says He is good. Sometimes it’s hard to see God’s goodness in our lives. Life has a way of putting a fog in front of us and clouding our vision. I need to open my eyes and see the things around me and see that God is good. I believe that God is good, I proclaim that God is good. This world can bring us down sometimes but Jesus has overcome this world. God is good.
Amen! Thanks, Jared!
